Mission Trails Church had its first big event this weekend. SpringFest was held at the park and rec center where the church will soon begin meeting. It was a huge community wide carnival and parade. Our church had a booth where the kids could make sand art necklaces for free, and the adults could enter a balance beam competition to win an iPod. They both were a huge hit - our tent stayed full of people for the entire seven hours. In the parade we had a "surfing van" and threw beach balls and candy out of the top of it. A big THANK YOU goes to our StoneWater crew who came to help out. Thanks Mike, Justin, Jacki and Zeke. We couldn't have survived without you guys. Above - a pic of Corban playing with the sand, Matt and Carson trying to stand on the balance beam, Jacki and Caden manning the sand art table, Matt and Joey, and our booth. Below - Zeke being Zeke, and the surfing van parade float.

On a side note: Zeke was our hero for the day on Saturday. Corban wandered off.....a long ways off, and Zeke found him and brought him back to his crying mom. We love you Zeke!! Thank you!

That's awesome! Great idea w/ the sand art. How was the response? Can't wait to hear all about it!
Christian wants to tell Caden, "You're really good with birds. Maybe you will become a bird vet. I hope you are doing good in school. I am too. I hope to come visit you in the summer."
SIncerely, Christian
