A New Ride

After the big crash that "Crash" had last week, we decided he needed a new bike. His old one was a little small for him, and it was very beat up. That one fall ripped the seat and tore up the brakes. So, Carson used his birthday money from Grandma and Big Nanny to buy his new ride. Here he is on the green machine. (Thanks Grandma and Big Nanny!)

Crash

Many of you may know this young man by the name of Carson, but you are wrong. His new name is Crash. It started out as a fun evening of jumping his bicycle over some speed bumps at the trail head close to our house. But the fun ended abruptly when Crash picked up too much speed and lost control. He walked away (actually he was carried away by Mom) with only surface injuries on his face, wrist, elbow and hip. There was initial fear of a broken wrist, but everything is still in place. The scrapes are already healing, and Crash should be back to his stunt riding soon.

Corban with Mom

Birthday Boy - Corban is Two

Today was Corban's birthday. He is now two! He seems to have grown up so much in the last few weeks. He had a Mater birthday party. In the picture he is standing in front of a life size Mater that is currently on the wall in our dining room. (He was also wearing Mater socks!) Corban loved opening his presents. He tore into them as fast as he could.

Birthday Boy - Carson is Six

Here is my SIX YEAR OLD. Carson had a wonderful birthday. He had his day completely planned out, meals and all. He cooked breakfast for everyone - blueberry muffins and pancakes. Then he helped make his cake, a San Diego cake as he called it. Next we went to Chuck E. Cheese's for lunch. We came home, opened presents, and played for several hours. Then Daddy cooked steaks on the grill for supper. After that it was cake and ice cream time. When asking for something during the day he would always say, "It is my birthday." He had his day his way!

Pizza

That's either a little kid or a big pizza! At church last week, we had the biggest pizza we have ever seen. Caden (our resident pizza lover) was in pizza heaven. You can tell by the huge smile he has in this picture.

Something New

Carson finally got a full wetsuit last week. He was so excited when it came in the mail that he immediately wanted to put it on. Since we couldn't go to the beach at that exact moment, he decided to go outside and ride his bicycle in his wetsuit. It was at least 80 degrees outside. He was so sweaty when he came in, I had to peel the suit off of him!

Who's that Man??

He looks like a surfer, wait a minute....that is a surfer! It's Joey with his new board. A new favorite passtime for my guy is surfing. He says he can get up on the board, but I havn't actually gotten to see him yet. Hang ten!

San Diego Zoo

Here are some pics from our visit to the San Diego Zoo last Friday. Matt went with us and took all of the pictures. Caden's favorite was the baby panda. Carson's favorite was the escalator!

My Sweet Boys

Joey took the boys, all three of them, with him to the store to pick up something for supper. They came back with a wonderful surprise for me - Girl Scout Cookies and Flowers! Of course I had to share the cookies, but the flowers were all for me. (I have been given many flowers since our move here. Beautiful flowers are everywhere you look outside. The colors are amazing.) I am blessed with the sweetest boys and a wonderful husband. For all of you who are worried about me, I am doing great. Joey is taking wonderful care of me, and we are getting settled in. I love our house, and San Diego is beautiful. I do miss my family and friends, but I'm sure new friends will come (though they will never be as great as you guys!). Thanks to all of you who have been praying for us over the past two weeks since the move. We love you all!
