After a few weeks of waiting, we got the call at 6:30 Thursday morning. It was the post office, calling to say our chicks were in and asking us to come get them! I got dressed, woke up Caden, and off we went. As we went through the side door of the post office, we could hear the chicks cheeping. I'm sure the postal workers were MORE than ready for us to get there and claim our chicks.

We ordered them from a
hatchery in Ohio. We have 5 Speckled Sussex (the red ones), two Australorps (the solid black ones), and three silver Wyandottes (the black and yellow ones). They also gave us a mystery chicken which turns out to be an Ameraucana (it's the pretty yellow one with black stripes in the first picture).
