Today my baby boy reached double digits. Caden is officially 10! Our family has a tradition of letting the birthday boy plan his day his way, so today was Caden's day. It started off with Caden being trapped in his bed when he woke up. This doesn't sound like a good start to a birthday to me, but for a 10 year old boy, this was the ultimate. Joey took a piece of cardboard and a rope and wrapped up his bed. (disclaimer: 1. the end of the bed wasn't blocked off so he could easily escape 2. this was how he wanted his day to start)

Next came the chocolate chip muffins and root beer for breakfast.

Next on his list was a present hunt. We hid his presents all over the house and he had to find them all....all except for one that we were supposed to hide super hard and give him a map to find it later. So Caden found his presents, unwrapped them, and played for a while. Then we left for lunch at A&W.

Next came Boomers for games, rock climbing and bumper boats

Then home for some cake and ice cream. Caden wanted a root beer cake. This cake actually has root beer in the cake and in the icing! If you haven't noticed, root beer was the theme this year. He said he wanted to have a root beer in his hand all day.

A final pic with Dad.

Happy Birthday Caden. We love you so much.
